North Carolina Man Faces Multiple Drug Charges

The United States Constitution provides a variety of protections to those in the country. While most people have a basic understanding of the rights they have as a result, many in North Carolina and across the country might have difficulty recognizing a violation of their rights. As a result, those facing drug charges -- among others -- may opt to seek professional assistance when responding to the claims against them.

One teeenager may be considering the charges against him following his arrest in March. Reports indicate that police conducted a month-long investigation following accusations that drugs were being distributed. As a result, a narcotics search warrant was executed at an apartment.

Police claim that during the search they found over 1.5 pounds of "high grade marijuana" valued at $6,400. They also alleged that they found just under $6,000 in cash in the search. A 19-year-old male has been arrested as a result and faces charges of possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, possession of marijuana and maintaining a dwelling to keep controlled substance.

In the days and weeks that follow an arrest on drug charges, defendants in North Carolina must make several significant decisions. Often, they feel they lack the necessary knowledge and experience with the criminal justice system to make informed decisions. Fortunately, there are experienced attorneys who can ensure that they fully understand their options and the potential consequences of each. With such a professional, those facing charges can have confidence that they will be treated lawfully and that appropriate action will be taken if unlawful behavior occurs.
