Daniel S. Johnson
Experience
After serving as an Assistant District Attorney in Winston-Salem from 1976 to 1979, Dan became a leading criminal defense lawyer. His extensive trial experience includes the representation of clients in both state and federal courts on matters ranging from personal injury and domestic and family law disputes to major drug prosecutions and complex, white-collar crime charges. He also has experience in general corporate issues, including health care management and medical compliance regulations, and the representation of medical professionals.
Education and professional associations
Dan received his Juris Doctorate from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1975 and his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Wake Forest University in 1972. He was admitted to practice in North Carolina in 1975 and is certified to practice in U.S. District Court, Western, Eastern, and Middle Districts of North Carolina as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Dan is a former adjunct professor for the Wake Forest University School of Law Clinic Program. He is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, the Forsyth County Bar Association, and a former member of the Forsyth County Criminal Defense Trial Lawyers Association and the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers.
