North Carolina Woman Accused of DWI After Rollover Crash

It only takes a split second. A single moment of inattention can result in a car accident with serious consequences. Though accidents happen every day in North Carolina for a variety of different reasons, it may be easy for police to assume that the cause of an accident was related to a driver who was under the influence of alcohol. In fact, a woman has recently been charged with DWI following an accident that sent her to the hospital.

The incident happened one night on a day in July. According to reports, the 26-year-old woman was in the northbound lanes when police allege that she lost control of the vehicle she was driving. As a result, the vehicle is said to have flipped over a ditch, coming to a rest in someone's yard.

The woman, who police say was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle. She was transported to the hospital, but her condition -- as well as her identity -- is unknown. Officials accuse her of consuming alcohol prior to the accident.

In addition to the DWI charge, the woman is facing charges of reckless driving and driving on a suspended license, among others. As a result of the accident, she will likely be required to make difficult decisions that will affect the rest of her life while also recovering from her physical injuries. Fortunately, there are professionals in North Carolina who can help guide her through what is likely a difficult time, ensuring she understands the implications of any decisions that she may be forced to make.
