Litigation: Head-On Collision Leaves 3 in Critical Condition

There are a multitude of circumstances in which a car accident can occur, but the result is often the same, with many collisions ending in serious injuries for those involved. If another party is deemed at fault, the victim of a dangerous collision may wish to seek compensation accordingly, potentially prompting a need for assistance during litigation. A recent head-on collision involving three vehicles has left several individuals in critical condition in North Carolina.

According to police, the incident took place around 3 p.m. on a recent Monday when a car veered into the wrong lane and struck another vehicle head-on. A truck was also unable to avoid the collision, and reportedly ended up overturning and coming to a rest on its roof after traveling down a nearby embankment. Two individuals inside the car and one person in the truck were all rushed to the hospital for treatment of critical injuries.

There were two others inside the second vehicle, both of whom were also taken to a medical facility for treatment. An investigation into the incident is underway, likely to determine what may have caused the car to cross into oncoming traffic. Such negligence has been the cause of many dangerous accidents, leaving victims to suffer the consequences of a situation in which they may have had little to no control.

Those who suffer serious injuries in similar collisions could be entitled to financial restitution, but they may be uncertain how to achieve this goal. When facing a similar situation, a person could speak with an attorney with experience in the area for guidance throughout litigation. An attorney in North Carolina can examine the situation, along with a client's injuries and financial needs, and assist in pursuing the compensation to which he or she is entitled through a claim against the party deemed at fault.
